How Can severe Shoulder Pain Be Treated?

25 years ago hurt my right shoulder in a bad fall while snowsking. Have had pain in shoulder lifting arm above shoulder height very little strength when arm in an extended position pulling or lifting objects. Some pain in shoulder at intermittent times. over the years pain level has been 2-6. Recently pain is almost constant, pain can range from 2-6. Also pain and tingling sensation has radiated into right shoulder blade into my neck.

may be you are having rotatory cuff injury but it is unlikely to have pain after 25 years you are having pain when you lift your arm above 90 degrees so it could be deltoid, trapezius and supraspinatus muscle weakness , and tingling sensation in the hand means it could be radiating pain from cervical region so you require mri cerivical spine investigation and sholder mri to look rotatory cuff , and for timebeing you can use pain killers while sever pain and you need physiotherapy for sholder strengthining exercises
